When it comes to choosing the right flow sensor, Pewatron has been your expert partner for over 25 years. Numerous measurement tasks can be carried out with a pressure sensor as well a flow sensor. But just which solution is the best in each case depends first and foremost on the environmental conditions such as dust, the possibility for an offset adjustment and other factors. Pewatron advises its customers with broad application and product expertise, thus ensuring that the right sensor is used and the end product is successful on the market later on. Pewatron now offers a perfectly customised solution for applications where a flow sensor is the optimal solution.
The sensor element is based on the thermal principle and is specifically designed according to requirements of accuracy, flow direction and costs. A special coating even makes it possible to measure liquids.
Despite being a customer-specific solution, short development cycles are made possible through rapid prototyping. Customers receive a data sheet and 3D model (step file) in just one week and the first prototypes can be delivered in three to four weeks. These are produced by 3D printing, meaning that no initial costs are incurred. And by working with specialised partners, tooling costs in the series are also kept within reasonable limits, allowing custom-made solutions to be realised even in medium volumes.
Whether in medical technology, HVAC or industrial applications, an individual solution has several advantages: the measurement task is 100% solved and the costs are often lower because the customer only pays for what they actually need. In medical technology in particular, this has already led to the development of several successful end products in the field of inhalers, for respiration needs and in the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders – which, thanks to their good price-performance ratio, have quickly established themselves on the market.
