Pewatron’s PS28C optical kit encoder: up to 27,000 rpm at 4,000 pulses

Compact encoders are being increasingly used in stepper motor applications.

Maximum rotational speed at the highest possible pulse rate plays a key role.

The new PS28C version allows it to support a motor speed of 27,000 revolutions per minute at 4,000 pulses per revolution. Much higher speeds are possible at a lower pulse rate, and at temperatures of -40°C to +100°C.

The encoder is equipped with differential output, optional shielded cables with polarised plug connector and latching connection are also available, ensuring an uninterrupted and secure signal transmission.

The encoder base plate is mounted on the motor using 2 location holes at a ring diameter of 20 mm, or optionally with assembly lugs at 34 mm.
