MAD100 from P-Duke:

New power supply units for medical technology

Pewatron AG is launching a new series of AC/DC medical power supply units from the renowned manufacturer P-Duke – with regulated output voltage of 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36 or 48 V depending on the type, 2 MOPP insulation and reinforced isolation for the primary circuit (4,000 VAC).

Safety for patients and service staff

Medical electrical devices are subject to particularly high technical requirements. In order to ensure the safety of patients and staff, each individual component must comply with special regulations, provisions and standards – this also applies to the power supply. A low leakage current, large creepage and clearance distances, EMC security (low emitted interference/emission, high interference immunity), etc., are particularly important in this case.

MAD100: compact, robust and versatile

The MAD100 power supply units operate in a wide input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC and 47 to 63 Hz. In standby operation, their power consumption lies at under 0.3 W. The devices also work smoothly at heights of up to 5,000 m.

The leakage current is extremely low at below 75 µA. An EMI filter is integrated to protect against electromagnetic interference.

The MAD100 power supply units are available open (2 x 3 x 1.16 in), as chassis type, in housing and for top-hat rail installation (DIN rail). They fulfil protection classes I and II. The power supplies comply with the safety standards ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, EN 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1 3rd edition.

Reliable – guaranteed

The MAD100 power supply units are therefore outstanding for use in medical devices. However, they are also suitable for other applications such as measurement technology, automation, manufacturing, datacom, IPC and telecommunication – wherever it comes down to precision, security and reliability.

As the manufacturer is justifiably confident in the quality of its devices, it offers a five-year warranty for all power supply units.
